Mark Gunnery (he/him) is a communications professional, musician, public historian, writer, and multimedia producer. He produced the Maryland Unfolded podcast for Baltimore Public Media/WYPR. He was the Director of Communications and Content for the Jewish Museum of Maryland from 2021 to 2024, where he co-hosted and produced the Disloyal podcast. He has worked for over a decade in public radio, including at WYPR in Baltimore, WAMU in DC as a producer for The Kojo Nnamdi Show, and at Center for Emerging Media in Baltimore where he produced The Marc Steiner Show on WEAA. He also produced Black Work Talk and Democracy in Crisis. Mark makes electronic and folk music. He has played with a number of different projects, including Riot Folk Collective, The Fools, The Barrage Band Orchestra, Lightnin' Seed, and #PirateRadio. Mark recently graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County with an MA in historical studies, and works on a multimedia history project about Sabbatianism called Raising The Sparks. He lives in Baltimore on the lands of the Piscataway and Susquehannock peoples.
